How to have a Successful Job Interview

How to have a Successful Job Interview

There are two things any job searcher should know when thinking about job interview.
First, an interview is a business meeting among equals. The company has a job and it needs somebody to fill it.
The second thing to keep in mind is that the job seeker must be prepared for interview questions and must know Answers to the Toughest Questions.

The job interview can make even the most confident individual nervous.
Preparation is the only solution to getting over those pre-interview jitters.

• Take care you understand your own accomplishments. If you were asked to talk about yourself or what you've done, what would you say?

• Learn about the company interviewing you. A lot of companies have a web site with important information. Why do you want to work there? You must answer that question through the interview. In addition, it gives you an opportunity to make a decision if the job is right for you. Does it fit with your career plan?

• Think of some questions you may be asked in the interview and have some well-thought-out answers. With this in mind, be prepared for some curve balls - an interviewer may ask you some astonishing questions.

• Arrive punctual. Don't schedule other activities too close to your interview time. You don't want to be delayed, and you don't want to run out of the interview to your next meeting.

• Following the interview, without delay send a thank-you letter to the interviewer. This is an opportunity to thank them for their time, to tell again them of your qualifications, and to confirm your desire for the position.

Always keep in mind to be yourself and answer all questions truthfully.
You should feel confident that no matter what the result may be, you presented yourself to the best of your abilities. If one job doesn't come through, it most likely wasn't the right one for you and there is one more out there that is!
